Twitter policy

This Twitter Policy sets out how Garden Court North Chambers uses Twitter.

Content

The @gcnchambers Twitter account is managed by Chambers’ Practice Management Team. If you follow this account, you will see tweets covering cases, legal commentaries, training announcements relating to Chambers and links to other things we’re involved with or interested in.

Replies and direct messages

Although we welcome feedback from followers and will read all @replies, we will not always be able to reply individually to all the messages we receive via Twitter, because of resource constraints.

Sending messages to our Twitter feed will not be considered as contacting Chambers for any official purpose. If you need to contact us for official correspondence please write to us at Garden Court North Chambers, 3rd Floor, Parsonage, Manchester, M3 2JA or email us at gcn@gcnchambers.co.uk.

Following

If you follow @gcnchambers we will not automatically follow you back. This avoids us having to spend time dealing with spam accounts and helps keep discussions open by limiting the use of Direct Messages.

@gcnchambers will follow organisations of relevance to us and may follow individuals where appropriate. We will cease to follow accounts we believe are malicious or spam.

The fact that we follow a Twitter account does not imply endorsement of any kind by Chambers.

Availability

The Practice Management Team will generally update and monitor our Twitter account during office hours only, Monday to Friday. Twitter may occasionally become unavailable. Chambers cannot accept responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
