How to Secure Fairness in Asylum and Immigration


Garden Court North Chambers’ Immigration Team is recognised as one of the leading sets in the country for its provision of specialist advice on all aspects of asylum, immigration and nationality law.  The Team would like to invite you to a one day conference on how to secure fairness in asylum and immigration.

The conference will cover:

  • Brexit and its effect on EEA nationals and their families;
  • Fairness in the First-tier Tribunal, including strategies for dealing with breaches of procedural rules;
  • Immigration judicial review, including procedural developments in the Upper Tribunal;
  • Fairness for unaccompanied children seeking asylum, including age assessments;
  • Fairness post-Kiarie;
  • Regulation 24AA, injunctions and setting aside appeal decisions done in the absence of the deportee; and
  • Delays in asylum and immigration cases.

This conference is aimed at solicitors, advisers, legal academics, community organisations and NGOs.
