Practical hints on drafting effective letters before claim - Melanie Plimmer Aimed at practitioners relatively new to Judicial Review applications, this session will look at the pre-action protocol, with case studies to assist in drafting letters before claim, compliant with protocol and which set out the issues with a view to achieving a beneficial outcome to claimants as early as possible.
Recent developments concerning the "Children Leaving Care Act" - Adam Fullwood The Children Leaving Care Act duties and how they can assist those who are vulnerable as a result of their immigraiton status, leaving prison or family breakdown.
Recent developments in Article 5 case-law - Pete Weatherby Arbitrary detention or arbitrary case law? This workshop will deal with recent case law and the courts restricting the meaning of "detention" and the reach of Article 5 in respect to determinate and indeterminate sentence prisoners.
