VHCC (Crime) tender process starts
05/06/2007
The tender process for VHCC (Crime) work opened on 5th June 2007 and the closing date is 12 noon on Friday 27th July 2007.
To assist with your bidding process, we have prepared an information pack on Advocates for VHCC (Crime) Defence Teams. You will note from page 3 that we have also prepared supplementary packs containing fully completed and signed Advocate bidding forms along with supporting information for each individual / Qualifying Case. This information is compliant with the LSC VHCC (Crime) Tender criteria.
As you are no doubt aware, at least half of Advocates in a leading role in your proposed Defence Teams are required to fulfill specific criteria. Our information pack contains a comprehensive list of those members who meet both the essential and desirable criteria as well as those who do not fit the qualifying criteria but are also eligible to be part of a Defence Team.
The GCN VHCC Advocates information pack is available to download at the bottom of this page.
Chambers' criminal team already have specialist knowledge of VHCC cases and are experienced in undertaking the advocate role within such Defence Teams. We have a number of advocates within the team who fit the essential and desirable criteria and we are therefore well placed to assist solicitors in the tendering process for places on the new VHCC (Crime) Panel.
You can also find the detailed CVs of all our barristers in the Crime section of our website.
Please contact Sarah Wright, Senior Clerk, on 0161 236 1840 if you wish to discuss members' relevant experience further.
