Universal Declaration of Human Rights 60th Anniversary

Today marks the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The UDHR was the first international recognition that all human beings have fundamental rights and freedoms and it continues to be a living and relevant document today.
Garden Court North Chambers barrister Pete Weatherby was interviewed for BBC Radio Manchester this morning and provided background to the origins of the UDHR, how these have developed into current human rights law and the application of human rights to everyday life.
