Press photographer sues Met over demo

GCN barrister Nick Stanage is instructed on behalf of press photographer Marc Vallee, who claims he was assaulted by police while covering a protest outside Parliament last year.
A claim has been issued against the Metropolitan Police for alleged injuries suffered and for breaches of human rights.
Ms Chez Cotton of Hickman & Rose, solicitor for Mr Vallee, said that safeguarding freedom of speech was central to the case.
