Human Rights and Human Lives: Adopting a human rights approach to service delivery and public safety.
A free DCA conference on Monday 16 October 2006, Radisson Edwardian Hotel, Manchester
The aims of the conference will be to:
- to highlight the benefits and opportunities of integrating human rights into service delivery;
- to debunk many of the myths and misconceptions which have grown up around the Convention rights;
- to demonstrate a provision for better and more consistent guidance and training on human rights both within Government Departments and the wider public authorities;
- to launch DCA's revised and strengthened generic guidance on human rights for public sector managers.
Who should go?
Senior staff from central and local government, criminal justice system agencies, social services departments, health care trusts, health authorities, primary care trusts and other service providers.
Cost: Free
To encourage participation of all service providers DCA is hosting these conferences free
of charge.
