Amicus organises introduction to US death penalty training in Manchester

Amicus, the charity which provides assistance to individuals on death row in the US has arranged an introductory training day in death penalty law and procedure. It will be held at BPP Law School on Oxford Street in Manchester on Saturday 14th January 2006 from 1 pm until 5.15 pm.

The course will be of interest to those who wish to find our more about death row and the death penalty in the US and particularly those who are thinking of getting involved in research projects being run by Amicus..

Mark George from Garden Court North will be one of the speakers covering trial procedures including jury selection, mitigation and sentencing. Dave Keefe from UCE will speak on the appeals process and research techniques.
