Immigration seminar: The new JR landscape

Date: Thursday 24 May 2012
Location: Central Manchester

The Judicial Review (JR) landscape in immigration law has changed dramatically over the past year or so. The case of Cart has clarified the scope for JR of decisions of the Upper Tribunal; the Upper Tribunal itself has jurisdiction to hear certain JR challenges; yet ‘traditional’ JRs in the High Court continue to be a hugely important legal route to challenge other immigration decisions. This seminar aims to clarify these three strands of JR challenge, and develop the knowledge and confidence of delegates through a series of case studies.
