Course outline:

A practical training course on sex discrimination law, this course will cover:

1. The legal framework surrounding the 4 heads of sex discrimination claims:
a. direct
b. indirect
c. harassment
d. victimization

2. Recent changes including:
a. The Employment Equality (Sex Discrimination) Regulations 2005 which have brought in changes including an amendment to the definition of indirect discrimination, harassment on the ground of sex and harassment of a sexual nature.
b. Recent caselaw relating to sex discrimination.

3. There will be an element of practical group-work involving working-through of case studies and examples.
