Analysis of the forthcoming Judicial Review of the Secretary of State for Justice has been provided by Joshua Rozenberg, writing for the The Telegraph online yesterday.
The Judicial Review hearing will take place on 4th December 2008 to decide whether Jack Straw can pardon Michael Shields. In his article, Joshua Rozenberg writes "[Pete Weatherby] will try to persuade the High Court that a pardon is a constitutional safeguard against the continued detention of prisoners known to be innocent."
