Extracts from Andrew's entry in the nomination brochure are below:

" Andrew is admired by those he has assisted pro bono for his ability to immediately establish a rapport with, and reassure, vulnerable clients. He is very thorough in his work and flexible in nature, giving his client a level of attention well beyond expectations.

“For me as the only employment caseworker at the law centre, having someone with Andrew’s knowledgeand experience immediately available is a great help. In turn, this is of great assistance to my clients”.

Colin Prout, employment caseworker at South Manchester Law Centre

“There is little doubt that, if the client had not had the expert, professional representation at the eleventhhour, she would have lost the roof over her head and would have been rendered homeless.”

Simon Pile, Solicitor at Shelter

“Without Andrew’s skills, knowledge and commitment to my case, I would not have been able to stand upand fight against the unfair treatment I had received. I will always be so very grateful for what Andrewdid for me and my family…Without Andrew people like myself would have no one to support themduring very difficult times in their lives.”

John Anthony Tetlow, pro bono client

The Award will be presented by Boris Johnson at the Bar Conference on 6th November 2010.
