Representation and advisory work on behalf of employees and trade unions in Employment Tribunals and the EAT including unfair dismissal (including pregnancy related unfair dismissal), wrongful dismissal, race and sex discrimination, disability discrimination, TUPE, union discrimination and pension cases.

Housing law
Undertakes a full range of housing work representing tenants and other occupiers, including unlawful eviction, disrepair, possession hearings and injunction hearings. Recently appeared in Hadden v Nicholson (15/08/2006 reported in LAG Nov 2006) (damages for unlawful eviction).
Personal injury / negligence
Advising on merits of claims and quantum. Experience of Road Traffic Accident trials.
Criminal Law
Range of criminal defence work in the magistrates’ and Youth courts including violence, public disorder, driving offences and ASBOs.
Other areas
Experience of small claims hearings (relating to both contractual disputes and road traffic accidents), bankruptcy hearings, return of goods hearings and enforcement hearings.
Undertakes substantial pro bono employment work for Bar Pro Bono Unit, Free Representation Unit, the Northern Circuit, Law Centres and CABx.

Undertook pupillage at Garden Court North Chambers (2005 – 2006) and mini-pupillages at Cloisters (employment), Garden Court (crime) and 25 Bedford Row (crime).
Previously worked as solicitor’s agent for Legal Practice Clerks before commencing pupillage.
