James Stark will speak on the subject of possession proceedings at the annual conference of the Housing Law Practitioners' Association, which takes place in London on 10th December 2008.

The seminars on possessions will cover both rent arrears and mortgages. They will be chaired by Tim Parker (District Judge, Slough and High Wycombe County Courts) with speakers James Stark , Derek McConnell (Solicitor, South West Law) and Bob Lawrence (Specialist Advisor, Communities and Local Government).

The programme also includes the following speakers:

  • Rabinder Singh QC on equality and discrimination law after Malcolm;
  • Andrew Arden QC, Jan Luba QC and Caroline Hunter on current issues in homelessness;
  • Robert Latham and Christopher Baker on allocation schemes;
  • Matthew Hutchings and Stephen Cottle on housing and human rights.
