Andrew Jones inquest

The inquest into the death of Merseyside teenager Andrew Jones who was fatally injured after a night out is due to start tomorrow, Tuesday 9th December 2008, at Liverpool Coroners Court and is listed for 5 days.

Andrew Jones, 18, was punched in the face in March 2003 whilst on a night out in Liverpool. The youngster, from Walton, hit his head and died in hospital the next day.

Despite police investigations and a BBC Crimewatch appeal, his killer has never been caught.

15.12.08 UPDATE: At the conclusion of the inquest on Friday 12th December 2008, the the Coroner recorded a verdict of unlawful killing because he was satisfied that although he was not permitted to name an individual in the verdict, a particular individual had been identified as responsible for throwing the punch that killed Andrew Jones.
