Joint Enterprise Liability (Sheffield Law Society Event)

Date: 16th September 2010
Location: Sheffield

Cases of murder which arise from a group attack on an individual are far from rare these days. Usually only one person is responsible for the fatal blow but the others in the group are frequently charged with murder on the basis of joint enterprise. The legal issues these cases throw up as to the liability of these secondary parties are complex and continue to trouble the courts.

US Death Penalty Training (Amicus and Reprieve event)

Date: October 2010
Location: London

Amicus and Reprieve will be running two weekends of training in US death penalty law and procedure in London in October. The course is essential for those who wish to undertake an internship in the US working with local attorneys on behalf of those on death row or facing a capital murder trial. The course will also be of great interest to those who wish to learn more about the process involved in a capital case.
